About
Ever since I was a child I've been fascinated by the Ocean,
everything about it captured my imagination and I dreamt
of what it would be like to dive with Sharks or Snorkel with
somersaulting Manta Rays.
This passion began when I saw my first Shark when I was 4
years old and I thought it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever
seen, and I knew then that my goal would be to work with Marine life
and to help protect the Worlds Oceans, to protect what I love.
I'm an Underwater & Wildlife Photographer who's hope is that my imagery will help in shifting perspectives and helping those who see my work fall in love with our natural world. I understand the power an image or sequence can have, because I know how it influenced me as a child and it is my hope to create the same feeling of wonder and excitement that previous Wildlife Photographers and Videographers did for me.
I have a background in Marine Science and I have attained a BSc in Marine Vertebrate Zoology at Bangor University, where I specialised around large marine animals such as Sharks, Whales & Dolphins.
I'm a qualified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and I'm confident in both tropical & cold water temperatures, I have experience in using underwater Comms Systems and working under HSE, scientific and archaeological diving projects as well as under HSE Recreational regulations.
I am currently working as a Shark Diver at Blue Planet Aquarium in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire in the United Kingdom where I have refined my skills as a Diver, Photographer & Public Speaker. My role includes tasks such as feeding large animals, such as Sharks & Stingrays, as well as cleaning and general maintenance. We also take part in public diving experiences, taking members of the public diving in our ocean exhibit with the Sharks.
I have also aided on a number of filming projects at Blue Planet Aquarium as a Safety Diver to the Underwater Camera team, and helping the rest of the crew with equipment.
